Tonight the first semi-final of Melodifestivalen took place in the Saab Arena in Linköping with the first qualifiers selected.
A total of seven artists performed tonight, with two selected to qualify directly to the final, while two were selected for the second chance ‘Andra Chansen’ round. This means we say goodbye to three of the acts.
Here are the competitors:
- The Mamas – “Move”
- Suzi P – “Moves”
- Robin Bengtsson – “Take a Chance”
- Malou Prytz – “Ballerina”
- OVÖ – “Inga problem”
- Sonja Aldén – “Sluta aldrig gå”
- Felix Sandman – “Boys with Emotions”
In the first round, the two songs placed 6th and 7th were revealed, and they were Inga Problem by OVÖ and Moves by Suzi P respectively.
The artists going directly to the final will be:
- Robin Bengtsson – Take a Chance
- The Mamas – Move
The artists going to the second chance round are:
- Malou Prytz – Ballerina
- Felix Sandman – Boys With Emotions
This means that Sonja Aldén and her song Sluta aldrig gå finished in 5th place and will not be progressing in the competition.
